Are you new?

I believe that Mr. Bennet does value Jane for her good sense, but she does not share his sense of humor like Lizzy does. One of his few joys in life is to observe and comment about people, usually sarcastically. Lizzy can understand and share this sarcastic sense of humor, but Jane sees everyone in such a good light that she and her father cannot often share the same views.
