Evidence   Written by Kathi (1/11/2004 6:41 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mrs. Bennet knows, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

] Though Mrs. Bennet does not get him many of times, she knows very well that she is being teased by her husband, but does not know how to respond to him.

I don't see any evidence that she knows, and some that she doesn't.

] This passage esp stuck me. When Mrs. Bennet is complaining abt Darcy to her husband, she says 'I wish you had been there to him him one of your set-downs.' The recipient of one of those might have been herself...'Ouch!'

That only means she recognizes his set-downs of other people, not "winding up" of herself, which is different from set-downs.
