In the letter where Miss Bingley announces to Jane of their all being settled in London for the winter, she mentions about some new furniture that Mr. Darcy was comtemplating on buying.

This seems like an attack on Lizzy- perhaps to show how intimately involved she was with the Darcys, and to show both the sisters that the men were out of their reach!
