The sisterly bond   Written by Geri-Lynn (1/26/2004 9:16 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Elizabeth grows closer to Jane, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

Elizabeth has complete confidence in Jane and knows that she will never be disappointed in her. What a lovely sentiment. They were close as sisters and become even closer; they are good friends as well as being sisters -- an example to all around them, though I suspect that few (if any) appreciate them as such. :-)

I completely agree with your statement here. What I especially like about it is that Mr. Darcy was one of the few who did appreciate the close relationship Elizabeth shared with Jane. In a way, it reminded him of his love for his own dear sister, Georgianna. I'm certain that he was warmed by Lizzy's concern for Jane at Netherfield - he had to be touched by her actions (even though her petticoat was muddied!).
