]I think Mr Bennet values both Jane and Elizabeth, though perhaps not equally.

He could not have been insensible to the fact that Jane, while very sweet, had a great deal of good sense. Her calm, steady manner must also have been of value to him when contrasted to the back-and-forth behavior of his wife. He was just as fatigued with her raptures as I'm sure he was with her vexations.
