It doesn't harm to think once of herself in a positive way since her friend's emosions are not settled on a special person.

Elizabeth's opinions may have been founded on mistaken information, but I think she knows exactly who she is attracted to -- and it is not Darcy. She is attracted both to Wickham and to Colonel Fitzwilliam, though she is not in love with either one of them. She is NOT attracted to Darcy, and in fact she dislikes him. Elizabeth's emotions seem very settled to me.
