]before. She has no illusions, no delusions. She makes the best marriage she can, and she lives with more contentment than many of us more idealistic ones find. At Rosings, Elizabeth observes that Charlotte often seems not to hear what Mr. Collins is saying -- a great coping mechanism!

]Once Charlotte has children, she can block out Mr. Collins to an even greater extent. I daresay her children will even make it necessary for her to stay away from Rosings on numerous occasions!

I agree with you ,and I have to add that the environment that Charlotte is living in with her family, a number of troublemaker brothers and silly children around her for sure she
'Without thinking highly either of men or of matrimony, marriage had always been her objective...'
