Mrs Gardiner has just warned Elizabeth against falling in love with Wickham because there is a lack of fortune (on both sides, actually). Elizabeth thinks of Darcy in this conversation because she believes that Darcy is the reason that Wickham is poor.
I confess that I see no sign of any atttraction to Darcy on Elizabeth's part in this conversation or elsewhere throughout the first 34 chapters of the book. I do, however, agree that Elizabeth must learn to see people without prejudice (or at least, with less prejudice).
