I feel the same   Written by Daphne (1/25/2004 5:37 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, No sour grapes for Charlotte, penned by Mary Frances 2
Are you new?

We should all be fortunate enough to have a friend like Charlotte. During this reading of P&P, I particularly noticed her attitude toward husbands and marriage and the sensible way she set up her household with Mr. Collins to give herself more "space" in the relationship.

Perhaps if I had had a friend like Charlotte who quietly spoke and modelled more realistic expectations, I might have made fewer trips to divorce court. There is much to be said for Charlotte's approach to life: without pride and without prejudice.
