This closeness shows in chapter 24 as well.


"Elizabeth, ..., heard it in silent indignation." and "A day or two passed before Jane had courage to speak of her feelings to Elizabeth;"
To be able to hold her tounge for that time and let Jane set the pace for when she wanted to talk shows concern but also that Lizzy possess some psychological insight.
