I was wondering if there were other circumstances that could have circumvented the problem and came up with three:

1. Mrs. Bennet could still have a son. (I know, I know....just thinking!)

2. If Mrs. Bennet passed, Mr. Bennet could remarry a young wife and still have son. (I'm sure Mrs. Bennet would not care much for this solution!)

3. I wondered if Mr. Bennet could adopt a son himself to inherit or would the entail also prevent this?
