My impression...   Written by Mandy N (1/25/2004 4:45 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Was the "disagreement", penned by Vania
Are you new?

In Ch.13 Mr Bennet reads the letter out from his cousin Collins which begins "the disagreement subsisting between yourself and and my late honoured father always gave me uneasiness,...I have frequently wished to heal the breach..." My reaction to this is Mr Bennet may have attempted to acquire more equitable conditions,to no avail. Legally, Collins Snr. is not obliged to make any amends to the Bennets and would no doubt claim he cannot change anything. It is difficult to know what else Mr Bennet would've disagreed with Collins Snr. which would so concern his son.
