in consequence of the missive, Netherfield Park and Bingley, penned by Ramya
]1. Too large and expensive.
I think both may be possible, especially the remoteness. I percieve Mr. Darcy's opinion of country society as "confined and unvarying" as being quite shared by Miss Bingley and Mrs. Hurst, and quite likely typical of their fashionable circle. ] But, Bingley, being a hasty-decision maker (Whatever I do is done in a hurry), leases it immediately, even though Netherfield may, possibly, have its defects. It makes me laugh when the circumstances are described - he heard about Netherfield by "accidental recommendation," looked at it for half-an-hour, believed every good thing the owner said, and took it. Half an hour is not very long to inspect a property so large and decide on its suitability as a potential residence! ] I was wondering if this trait of his gets him into such not-so-advantageous situations, and how it is going to affect the course of the story. J.A. says he has the highest opinion of Darcy's judgement - I suspect that he asks for advice frequently, which may keep him out of at least some such scrapes. |
