In regard to first observation...   Written by Mandy N (1/24/2004 6:44 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Random observations from Mr. Collins, penned by Kristen G.
Are you new?

I find what Mr Collins overheard concerning Mr Darcy mentioning his cousin to Caroline most interesting. This is the first time I've ever heard of Darcy speak directly to Caroline. If he does, surely he'd put his words to good use. Despite a danger of creating rumour. Caroline has been so determined to amuse Darcy with her accomplishments and constant attention he must be quite distracted. Also by this hint he lets Caroline down lightly. If she wants to, she can believe he would have chosen her if he could.
