Are you new?

I was waiting for somebody else to discuss this , but it is ok I will start this. The scene when Lydia gets out of her room without her gown on and suddenly finds herself in front of Mr. C, couldn't she hear him humming? And

what do you think of his reaction?

Why do you think this scene was added? Is it to increase the dose of Mr. C silliness?
