in consequence of the missive, Regarding Mr. Wickham, penned by Geri-Lynn
Wickham is happy to discose information to Lizzy as he is particularly wishes someone to spead his personal story of ill use by Mr Darcy to get special sympathy. It is of no consequence he hardly knows her. She knows local society and she's already assured him they have taken offence at Darcy's manners. Actually, in contrast to the clumsy self-promotion by Caroline Bingley ala Darcy, loathe as I am to admit it but I think Wickham at this stage shows himself quite intelligent at self- promotion. He appears pleasant and charming and proves popular with the ladies. He uses Lizzy to acquire details about the local view of Mr Darcy, he ascertains she sees him 'disagreeable.' He seems to be making the right moves in society to be assured of probable sympathy. :(
