I see her as a "well of information"(=conjecture & gossip). Not really setting a good example to her younger nieces. She would have been so relieved to learn that Jane & Lizzy were travelling in the Bingley coach. I'm sure she had been puzzling her head over where a party from Netherfield was headed! And returning so very soon!
