When her husband is serious? She is said to be a woman of mean understanding ....


and he so odd a mixture of quick parts sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice...
Perhaps he does pay her a compliment now and then? When he feels like it? I imagine her rather goodlooking though. I once heard the opinion that it is not until Mrs Bennet opens her mouth that she exposes herself to ridicule.
