Are you new?

]What makes you think Darcy is shy, based on the first 20 chapters? Or are you reading ahead? ;-)

Yes it is clear ,from the first 20 chapters that Darcy behaves like shy people among strangers ,silent and refuses to dance with women he doesn't know before. and finds excuses for his behaviors like the women are not pretty enough to tempt him or sit alone meditating on the fine eyes of a woman ...He doesn't have the courage that Bingley has.
