]This is Mrs. Bennet talking about Lizzy refusing Mr. Collins. What does this "at York" business mean?

Sorry if this has been covered before.

York is a county of England in the North and the Bennets live in the South. Mrs. Bennet was just saying that Elizabeth showed about as much concern about her mother as if she were miles away.

It would be like me, as a Midwestern American, saying: "Caring about as much as if she were in Hawaii.
