Diverging opinions.   Written by Mandy N (1/21/2004 1:16 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, P&P2, Ep2, penned by Emmeline
Are you new?

'A meeting at the crossroads' with the Bennet girls and Darcy, with Bingley and Wickham meeting for their first time in Meryton village. At the Netherfield Ball Bingley informs Jane he believes Darcy's assertion he is 'not a respectable young man' and vouchsafes to Jane for the honour of Darcy. I notice Jane and Lizzy diverge on opinions as Jane is sure Mr Wickham has been 'very imprudent'. Lizzy points out Mr Bingley is sincere yet only goes by Darcy's assurances. I'm unsure if Jane, who is quite intelligent, is learning to judge for herself or simply relying on Mr Bingley.
