Mary   Written by Kira (1/11/2004 1:36 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mr Bennets relation to his daughters, penned by Johanna Elisabet
Are you new?

]Mary seems to use her readings to get attention from her family. Mr Bennet does credit her for her reading (chapter 2)but is it sarcastic or is he intrested in her ideas?

It seems very sarcastic to me, and it really must hurt Mary to be maked fun at like that, since the things she trys to do, read and so would be things that she would think would impress her father. I think that in that way Mary really are the unlucky one in the relationship with her father. Jane and Lizzy are liked by him and it seems like Kitty and Lydia doesn't care so much about his opinions, because they have their mother, but Mary really wants her fathers good opinion, but can't get it.
