Darcy intrigues Elizabeth, I agree   Written by kathleen (elder) (1/20/2004 8:21 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, ...more than we know about, penned by Julianne E.
Are you new?

] made Elizabeth a person who wants to know all of this because she does not yet realize what her feelings for him are.

But I don't think that Elizabeth is unaware of what her feelings for Darcy are. He insulted her before she had even met him, and I think she took an instant dislike to him. She sees that respectable people like Darcy, so not everybody would agree with her opinion of him. She wants to know more about him, in part, because she took such an instant dislike to him. I think that she is hoping to be able to continue to justify her opinion, regardless of what other people think of the man.

But I think she realizes exactly what her feelings for Darcy are: dislike.
