The 'lowly' Gardiners were in trade
But friendship with Darcy they've made.
Are they to become the main catalyst
for our lovers' burgeoning tryst?
Georgiana's too nervous
To start the tea service
Until wise Mrs Annes-
-ley rallies her manners.
Lady Ann is introduced as Darcy's mother
she also happened to be an Earl's daughter
And to Lady Catherine she was a sister
That's all till now what we know about her.
Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner’s thoughts are busy,
Concerning the matter of Darcy and Lizzy.
The gentleman is very much in love, surely,
But has the lady fallen for the master of Pemberley?
“I’d as soon call her mother a wit.”
qotes Miss Bingley in a jealous snit.
A strange sort of plan to get ahead;
reminding him what he must wish unsaid.
