I don't think the difference in age was regarded as minor. Eliz was almost 21 at Rosings, she could be already 21 a few months later at Pemberley. Eliz had for some time been out in society, while Georgina, at 16, was not yet out. In Regency, there was a great deal of difference between a girl who was out, and a girl who was not yet out, who was regarded more or less as a schoolgirl (re Miss Crawford about girls being "out" and "not out" in MP)
