in consequence of the missive, umm, Lady C is quite taken with Charlotte's fair, penned by mikeB in Japan
...to go with the idea that Darcy is still desperately hoping to win Lizzie and talks about her to Georgiana because his head is full of her. His comment about his sister wishing to meet Lizzie is rather surprising considering they are in Derbyshire, a place he wouldn't expect Lizzie to be. This leads to the thought that Pemberley is something of a pit stop for Darcy to see all was well with his estate before they all head to Netherfield Park for the shooting season. Without going to Hertfordshire, how was meeting Lizzie to be arranged? Happily, chance put all the pieces of the puzzle on the table, but if it hadn't happened that way, then I'm convinced Darcy fully intended to resume contact with Lizzie in Meryton. Where else was he likely to meet her again? If this was indeed the case, then Cheerful Charlie must also have had his own plans for returning. His sisters may not have liked the idea, but none of it may have happened without Darcy being point man, and Lizzie was obviously much on his mind. They will all appear back in Meryton, of that I'm sure.
