in consequence of the missive, Darcy's fresh approach to romance (Long!), penned by Ramya
1. Mr Darcy's love for Elizabeth is still there, unextincted (in P&P2 he tries to extignuish it but nothing is told in the novel).
2. He is reconciled with this love because
Then, understanding better Elizabeth and free from that feeling of guilt, his love became unalloyed... but I suppose that he found it somehow hopeless?
Sudden, its object appeared, and at his own home, his refuge and his kingdom (and his picture, seems to tell the author)! What could he do but to try to please her? He loved her!
"when no importance could result from the success of his endeavours," - do we read the omniscient narrator or Miss Elizabeth Bennet? ;-)
