|Lady Catherine's Thoughts on

the Longbourn entail popped out at me in this reading when it never had before.
"Your father's estate is entailed on Mr. Collins, I think. For your sake," turning to Charlotte, "I am glad of it; but otherwise I see no occasion for entailing estates from the female line."
I had always picked up on the fact that Lady C did not like the idea that only males could inherit an estate but I picked up on a little bit more this time. When she said she was glad of it "For your sake" while turning to Charlotte made it seem, to me anyways, that she was glad Charlotte would have a nice estate one day but didn't care one way or another if Mr. C had one.
Am I perhaps reading more into this than is really there?
