Anyway, about the Lucases wealth, Mrs Bennet (at Netherfield, chapter 9) doesn't say that Mrs Lucas cannot afford enough servants to do all the job, she expresses it rather as a choice; it may be simplicity (being the wife of a retired tradesman, and the mother of a numerous family where daughters may marry men who cannot give them so many servants) or sharpness, we may learn more later...
