...is somebody (as a male) I'm not too enamoured by. If he has such a beef with Darcy and feels badly done to, why not take it up with him instead of blackening him to a stranger behind his back? Also, he asks Lizzie if she's famiiar with him, discovers she doesn't particularly like him, then, without knowing what anyone else around her thinks, trots out his tale of woe. All rather nieve a thing to do and she immediately believes him without checking further? One to watch this chap. I'm sure, being of Derbyshire upbringing, he's surpried to run into Darcy so far from home, but what's his next move. He slides nicely into the family scene, yet ducks the Netherfield invite despite his wish for society social contact. All too goody-goody?
