..of some interest to me, as a lifetime dance fan. Dancing is seeming a major interest and requirement amongst the marriage-minded ladies of Longbourne and Meryton. Now I already know that, some Tom Wilson chap wrote books about it all back in the Regency era, but only so much can be learned from books. The dances of the period are formal and requiring etiquette and rule-following, so where and when did our terpsicheretts learn to dance? It may be revealed later and the question answered, and I'll be watching closely and with interest.
We all learned by being shown by someone, and practised in less formal environs than balls and assemblies. I'm hoping we'll learn a little about it further on. I'll be back on this topic.
