She was relating it among her friends. I think we could worry about her becoming like her mother if she spoke to every person she knew about it. But since the word "friends" was used, I assume that it wasn't every acquaintance but those she could confide in, such as Jane and Charlotte. Also, as Line said, Darcy had already annoyed the locals as it was; if this had an effect, it was simply icing on the cake.
However, we can watch Elizabeth's behavior as the novel progresses and see if any more incidents like this arise. But for now, I'll say it's innocuous. :-)
