in consequence of the missive, Darcy falls for Elizabeth quite early, penned by Jasmine D
Remember Lizzy is not looking or hoping for Darcy’s good opinion. What should Lizzy notice in his behavior that would suggest his opinion of her has u-turned since the assembly? At the assembly he loudly said she was not worth his attention and has not publicly rescinded those sentiments. Also remember in the following chapters he eavesdrops on her conversation, stares at her with an impertinent, ‘very satirical eye’ (6) more than once and claims “My good opinion once lost is lost for ever” (11). What is a Beauty to do but laugh at such a Beast! (:D)
