So is Anne inhumanly 'perfect'?   Written by Rachel G (10/31/2011 5:17 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Frederick is close-minded about Anne, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

Oh - the lion's share of blame for Anne & Fred's lack of communication when he returned undoubtedly belongs to him. I wouldn't dispute that for a moment. I just think that Anne's hyper-emotional state and consequent inability to interact normally was dysfunctional. It didn't help the situation, but perhaps the situation was beyond help anyway because of Frederick's ongoing resentment.

It is difficult to find any obvious faults in Anne's character. This is surprising, because JA endowed most of her characters with a normal helping of human failings. Do you think Anne has any 'faults', Robbin? Does anybody?

If this board closes before people have time to respond, I'll ask the question again on the Persuasion board, as I would really like to know what others think about this.
