As I read your comment about her swelling importance bursting forth I’m reminded of chapter 13 where Anne is “hoping that she was to be blessed with a second spring” she was talking about youth and beauty but it strikes as a good metaphor for Anne in general. It seems like a part of her has been lying dormant and is now bursting forth like spring.
