Are you new?

Rather than wheedle her way into a marriage, perhaps she gets pregnant & gives Mr Elliot the next heir to Kellynch. That (along w/ the wheedling & caressing) might do the trick.

Otherwise, I don't see it happening either.

(And I always feel sorry for Mrs Clay's parents AND her children.)
