I love this, Amy. And then what a pay off! I so clearly remember the first time I read The Letter. I think I held my breath throughout and when I finished, I clasped the book to my heart, closed my eyes and sighed. And then I picked it up and read it again.

I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own ... I have loved none but you ... You alone have brought me to Bath. For you alone I think and plan... (ch. 23)

*whew* Where is my hartshorn? Fabulous, fabulous stuff.
