exactly what they mean by this. I assume the laundry door is the door to the laundry room, and the problem with it was that it either opened out when the Admiral thinks it should open inward, or vice versa. If one is carrying bundles of wet clothes out the door to take them outside to hang them up, and taking out tubs of dirty water to dump them outside, then I guess it would be better for the door to open outwards.
