RachelG, are you alluding to an Austen parallel of Anne (Persuasion) and Lizzie in P&P, who, upon leaving their limited home environments, meet several men of differing characters and situations, who show interests in them for varrying reasons?

We cannot help but wonder what they are about, and who indeed is truly good and worthy of our favorite heroines!
And, which dashing man will the fair lady accept??:)
