For those who haven't seen this before, here's a newspaper ad for Gowland's Lotion which is housed on the Jane Info pages here at Pemberley. I love this bit in particular:

What of Sir Walter and Mrs. Clay? He entreats her to stay with them in Bath, her freckles are quite "carried away" - has he become blind to the clumsy wrist as well? Anne is worried and is already making plans to live with Lady Russell. What do you think? Is Sir Walter in danger of succumbing?
