Of course, if Frederich wasn't in the picture, Louisa wouldn't have jumped in the first place ;-)

Anne is eager to be helpful to anyone who is in need, if it's offering a friendly ear to Captain Benwick or nursing a girl with an injury.

I was looking at it from the angle of how Anne is taking care of her former fiancé's new girlfriend. On that level, it must have been hard for her.
