I don't see ...   Written by gianni (10/14/2011 11:14 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Your premise, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

... any premise in my message that "Frederick came to Kellynch purposely to see if he could "resurrect" anything with Anne"; I simply speculated that "maybe he's even anxious to see whether there might be anything to resurrect between them."

I think there are plenty of times at Uppercross when they misunderstood each other, but I don't buy the idea that they were looking for an opportunity to get back together. I think they were both trying to protect themselves - both from remembering past pains and avoiding present ones.

If by not "looking for an opportunity" you mean they weren't deliberately working toward such a goal, we agree. If you mean that neither wanted a reconciliation, the text disagrees strongly with your premise with regard to Anne, and (I think) subtly implies disagreement with regard to Frederick.

But, as I said in my introduction, I'm swimming against the tide...
