I always felt that Persuasion

in consequence of the missive, Austen's prose, penned by Cheryl
had a more realistic, personal feel to it. Now, I am able to understand why. In Emma, we get the internal monologues of Emma in the form of free indirect narrative (a JA innovation). I wonder if the technique she employs in Persuasion falls under the free indirect narrative as well. Thanks for sharing! :-)
