suitors   Written by Nikki N (10/7/2011 1:50 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Elizabeth's treatment of Anne, penned by Kathryn Ann
Are you new?

It is very possible that Elizabeth also had suitors, especially during her visits to London, who had proposed to her, but she turned them down becasue they were untitled gentlemen and not baronets or future baronets. In chap 1, it says that at 29 --

"she felt her approach to the years of danger, and would have rejoiced to be certain of being properly solicited by baronet-blood within the next twelvemonth or two."

She wanted to be proposed to by "baronet-blood", not by untitled gentlemen!
