Beautiful artistry: The painting and our Miss Austen...   Written by jeffrey (10/5/2011 5:11 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The action off St. Domingo, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

Because Miss Austen's siblings are so heavily involved in the English navy, it is no small wonder that she treats the sailors with such respect and admiration in her stories.

This also gives us still another insight into Anne's Captain Wentworth. His courage, loyalty, and fighting spirit is something our heroine realized from the beginning. (consider that Anne reads people far better than most)

Can I use Capt Frederick Wentworth and "hero" in the same sentence? I should hope so.
