Mr. Shepherd, the lawyer   Written by Sonia K (10/4/2011 4:38 p.m.)
Are you new?

Mr. Elliot has… “Two confidential friends Mr. Sheperd an Lady Rusell. ..” “Mr. Sheperd who lived in the neighbouring market town..” .... a civil cautious lawyer?

Mr. Elliot, a man like him, whit rank , ¿it´s normal, that he has, between her advisers, a lawyer without any title ( marquis, duke)? JA don´t give us, any detail about her personal, familiar and social life, and that lawyer seems to me only a “man”, but for Mr. Elliot, could be a “vulgar man” . And how dare him to explain her precarious financial situation a her neighbour?

It´s true that, joined to him (the lawyer) , Lady Russell has the same opinion, but she is a respectable women, and friend of her wife, but is strange to me that Mr Elliot didn´t choose or engage a distinguished and prominent lawyer .
