Anne was not dismissive towards people.   Written by Nancy Louise (10/3/2011 5:03 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Anne's generous heart, penned by Kevin S.
Are you new?

I believe it also showed how mature she was in compairson to her sisters and others. She allowed other people, even subordinates, to exist and respected them (visiting the folks in the parish before departing, for example).

I agree that this is a point made to further establish the solid quality of Anne's character-to the core. Or perhaps the passage is to further embellish the extent to which Anne is truly selfless.
