Welcome to the Persuasion Group Read. A couple of quick notes:

When posting, please remember to refer to the text of the novel to explain your ideas, and give the accompanying chapter number to help make sure we're all on the same page. The novel text is linked at the top of the board, and there's also added the handy-dandy "pop up the novel text" button which can be found right above the Reply Box.

No spoilers - please stay "in the moment." Do not discuss anything that goes beyond the assigned chapters. Posts which contain spoilers and their responses will be deleted.

At the top of the board is a link to the Persuasion Gazetteer, which has beautiful maps of every location - real and imagined - mentioned in Persuasion. If you've not seen this before, I encourage you to take a look. It's a fabulous thing.

I'm planning a couple of fun activities each week - a trivia quiz to see just how closely you're reading, and we will be raiding the Twitter accounts of several Persuasion characters. More on that later.
