I have enjoyed the GR so much. I actually managed to keep up despite terminal meltdown of bits of my computer part way through, and I feel much more kindly disposed than before towards Lady Russell!

Thank you everybody for your contributions. There have been so many thought provoking and illuminating posts that I now feel I have only just begun to scratch the surface of this beautiful novel. All the L&T contributions have really enriched my understanding – a special 'Thank you' to Julie W for the Print Shop, the Navy List and the White Hart, which were stand-out images for me.
