it couldn´t have been said better!

Another parllel or rather anti-parallel concerning Sir Walter and Captain Wentworth: Sir Walter enters into the novel being a baronet with a big estate, whereas Frederick Wentworth is introduced as a Mr. Nobody. In the course of the novel they change sides as well: Sir Walter ends up relatively poor and unheeded, whereas Captain Wentworth gained everybody´s respect and it´s not unlikely that he gained baronetcy either.
